Also in the category of music discovery and band tracking is gruvr http://gruvr.com .. tell it about bands you like and it will tell you when they announce shows near you.
It's focused on live music, though, as opposed to any event like Eventful or Upcoming.

Great list. Another site to consider adding to the Band Profiles, Promotion & PR, and Events & Calendars sections is Zvents.

Zvents is a local search engine for things to do, and promoting music is a key part of helping our users find cool events happening in their area.

Bands can add their profile to our site if it isn't there already, and add all their upcoming shows too. We share our events with over 100 newspaper and online media sites, so entering your event in Zvents broadcasts it to all our partners too. You can also track tour schedule updates for favorite bands through RSS.

I hope you'll consider adding us to your list!
